Update your OneDevice
Install the latest firmware on your OneDevice from a computer. It takes a few minutes and all you need is a USB-C cable.
Open this page on a computer
The update runs over a USB-C cable from a Mac or Windows computer, using Chrome or Edge. It can’t run on a phone or tablet.
Before you start
- A Mac or Windows computer with Chrome or Edge
- A USB-C data cable. Some cables only charge. If your OneDevice doesn’t show up, try a different cable.
- A few minutes when you won’t need to unplug the device
1Connect your OneDevice
Plug your OneDevice into the computer, then click Connect.
Chrome will show a list of devices. Choose Virtual ComPort in FS Mode and click Connect.
2Install the update
Your OneDevice restarts into update mode. When Chrome asks again, choose the device. It may have a different name this time, often with “DFU” in it.
Keep it plugged in and this page open until it says Done.
Firmware: checking…
3Check it worked
Wait about 10 seconds for your OneDevice to restart, then read its new version.
Troubleshooting
- My OneDevice isn’t in the list. Try a different USB-C cable (some only charge) or a different USB port, then click Connect again. You can also click Show all devices in step 1.
- On Windows, it says Chrome could not open the device. Windows sometimes needs a one-time driver step. Copy the technical log below and send it to our support team.
- The update stopped partway, or the device’s light is off. Your OneDevice is safe and is waiting in update mode. Keep it plugged in, click the button below, then click Start update.
- Support sent me a firmware file.
Use a different file
Only use a .dfu file from OneDevice support.
